Tanning lotion reviews
14th Dec 2009, Caroline Holliday Australia I am a huge fan of Chi Chi Solarium in a bottle. It makes my skin amazingly soft and is great whether you already have a base tan as it enchases it beautifully with a gorgeous shimmer or if your naturally a little paler it gives you great color. Smells amazing! As it's a bronzer it washes off in the shower so you don't get that gross patchy look when your fake tan starts to fade away, and if you make any mistakes it's easy to fix! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!
19th April 2009, Vincent Comeau Canada -I tried Nivea summer touch tanning lotion and it turned me orange and due to it being white in colour it made it difficult to apply it evenly which left me patchy. I would not recommend it unless you're on a tight budget since it's cheap. On a positive note it smells great and leaves your skin feeling very moisturized and healthy.
6th Sept 2008, Sara Patterson UK- A couple of days ago i recieved the "XEN-TAN transform"which i purchased over the internet. It claims to be Fake tan perfection, streak free, nice scent olive colour, appaling to both man and women. Its a moisturiser that you apply daily to build up a perfect tan, and after 2 days, the results were obvious, i had the perfect tan it wasnt orange it was brown! and it dried in so quickly once you put it on, which meant i could put it on beofre i went to bed. I would highly recommend this product. this is where i bought mine- http://www.xen-tan.co.uk/index.php
5th Sept 2008- Michelle A USA I've tried several sunless tanners and I always turn orange. I recently found the Solerra mitt and it is so easy to use that I decided to try tanners again. I like the carmel color my very white skin turns and the smell is wonderful. Even someone not great a application can do this one without any streaks. I can take it anywhere with me but it lasts over a week so I often don't need to.
29th June 2008- Kat Boat, USA I have always been a fan of any True Blue Spa products sold at Bath and Body Works. I decided to try the tanning lotion. It smelled horrible and turned my skin pumpkin orange! It lasted for a while which made it even worse. I'm going to try Banana Boat.
2nd June 2008- Amanda Hong Kong I tried LOREAL SUBLIME GLOW which I have to say is great for the glow, but the color is useless. It didn't seem to make any diffrence to the colour of my skin at all.
21st April 2008- Kat USA I tried Jergens Natural glow self-tanning lotion. I used it for maybe a week or two. I turned orange! I was trying the product out for my sister and she said stop. You're orange. I would not recommend this product to anyone. I wonder how products like this stay around.
17th Feb 2008- Nate UK
I tried the st tropez mousse and found it was the worse tan of all. It faded patchy on my skin. Thanks however for the great site and tips... I'll keep searching.
13th December 2007- Carry Island, Miami Beach USA
I love Fake Bake Mousse; for me I find it is so easy to apply and always looks great. I have recommended it to many friends and they all love it too.... we are big on tanning down here
30th November 2007- Sally Walt, Florida USA
Ella Bache Great Tan, is a great color and I love that it applies brown so it makes it hard to miss places
NOV 2007- Katie Rowlands UK
Banana Boat do a great self tanning lotion. It is easy to apply and the colour is pretty good. It is cheap too so it won't break the bank
3rd November 2007- Melissa Ford Australia
I love that this site is all for Fake Bake.... It is my favourite self tan lotion. Thanks also for the video on applying fake tan.... great advise and so helpful
24th October 2007- Rowena Harding Australia
I love Holiday Skin from Johnson & Johnson. The Colour is great and it develops over a few days as you apply it. It is pretty much tanning for dummies. The only downside is that it came off patchy on my skin. I also love the price tag as it is less than $5.
20th October 2007 - Amber Ralph Australia
Well I am a big fan of St Tropez (mousse) – wouldn’t use anything else. It gives a really natural colour no matter what colour you are to start with. I gave a bottle to an older work colleague and she is very white. It looks great on her. She's had lots of people ask if she has just been on holiday. Her sisters have even bought a bottle for themselves. I used to be a fan of Ella Bache ‘Great Tan’ but St Tropez is 1000 times better.
10th November 2007- Katie Kilpatrick Australia, I have recently tried the Palmer's Coco Butter tan. It develops each day to gradually give you a nice even tan. The smell is lovely, you smell just like chocolate. It does streak and grab on dry areas as it fades, but that isn't too much of a concern for me.
Now if you have tried a tanning lotion and would like to let others know about it....
